Personal Care Services

In-Home Care

Provides non-medical and medically oriented services. Non-medical services include home care tasks such as meal preparation, shopping and light housekeeping. Medically oriented services may include nursing, personal care, medication management, physical and occupational therapies, meals and socialization. An adult may be eligible through the Social Services Block Grant or Home and Community Based Care for the Elderly or Chronically Ill Medicaid program.  

Bathing

Caregivers (DSW -Direct Service Workers) are trained and sensitive to the privacy of clients in regards to bathing and showering. They realize the worries many people have when it comes to accidents attributed to slips and falls. Care is not just limited to cleansing, our complete comprehensive care also includes skin moisturizing.  

Toileting

Assistance in the restroom is a service that Caregivers take very seriously. Toileting care can vary from reminders to complete incontinence care.

Oral Hygiene

When clients are unable to perform basic task of dental care, caregivers are there to provide assistance. Direct Service Workers understand proper dental hygiene is important and witness the confidence it gives our clients.

Grooming

Help with appearance often times breathes confidence into many clients who can no longer perform basic grooming duties themselves.

Eating

When it comes to eating, Direct Service Workers provide a host of services. They can start by utilizing registered dieticians to help our clients choose healthy foods. Second, Direct Service Workers can visit the grocery store and pickup the desired items chosen by the client. Third, they assist in food preparation. Direct Service Workers will assist with feeding if needed.

Ambulation

Direct Service Workers realize the concerns most seniors have when navigating through the house. Direct Service Workers will assist with mobilization as well as identify potential hazards in the home.

Dressing

Direct Service Workers assist with dressing for clients that might have trouble performing this daily task. Many clients who are bed stricken or suffer from debilitating injuries find this service beneficial.

Transportation

Direct Service Workers can provide transportation such as hospital pick-up, visiting friends, and doctor appointments. This gives the opportunity for our clients to maintain their independence.
